Common questions
Answers to what people ask most before their first analysis.
How accurate is the analysis?
Lenstrum's accuracy is validated against third-party benchmarks for political content. We're upfront that this is an ongoing process — full methodology details are on our Methodology page for anyone who wants to dig in.
What can I analyze?
News articles, YouTube and TikTok videos, and posts from X and Instagram. Facebook links aren't supported directly — paste the text instead.
What's coming next?
Lenstrum is actively expanding platform coverage and analysis depth — see our Roadmap page for what's shipped and what's in progress.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you 3 analyses a day with the full breakdown — framing, AI involvement, and source context — no account needed, and a free account also saves a history of your 50 most recent analyses. Pro removes the daily cap and adds deeper framing, AI-involvement and source-context analysis, more related coverage, Your Lens (your own media-diet breakdown), and extras like a branded social card and Citation PDF export, for $5/month (or $4/month billed annually).
Is my data private?
We collect only what's needed to run your account and analyses — your email, and the URLs or text you submit for analysis. That content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your results, and we don't sell your personal information to anyone. You can delete your account and data at any time from your account settings.
Do you work with schools or organizations?
Yes — any verified .edu email gets Lenstrum Pro automatically at a lower price, and newsrooms, schools, and nonprofits can partner with us directly. See Institutions → for details.
How is this different from asking an AI chatbot?
A chatbot gives you a different answer every time you ask. Lenstrum uses one consistent method every time, with sources you can check yourself.
